I knew in 2020 when everything shut down that I had to make a change. I felt like I wasn’t ready to support my students in the virtual world in fun and engaging activities. And even now that students are back in the classroom it is still not the same. Students cannot engage in group activities and I feel there are more and more demands placed on educators to close the gap with not enough resources. I knew I had to create activities that my students could use on the computer and resources that would engage them independently. I knew that the return to school would not be in person for me if virtual education was an option because of my health condition and I knew this would be true for so many other educators and students. I felt stuck and had to come up with a solution. So I began creating digital resources that I could post on google classroom for my students to use and for me to teach Spanish. I found many resources in English but not enough in Spanish. So I thought if I am struggling to find resources imagine everyone else. |
